Hints & Tips
Make sure you have everything you need before stating to fill in an Entry Form - all necessary information, including any supporting documents/attachments.
Understand the general information and guidelines for your Award category because they are not all the same.
Carefully read the Award entry criteria to determine the most appropriate category for your entry.
Be sure to complete the correct Entry Form. Fill in all required fields and provide all necessary supporting documentation.
Keep your answers short and to the point.
A separate Entry Form is required for each Award submission/nomination.
If your submission is for a Crime Stoppers Program Award, double-check that you have nominated the correct community size for the population your program serves.
Submissions must address the criteria specified for the relevant Award category and must clearly demonstrate the achievements of the individual, program, campaign or activity.
Include any relevant URLs and hyperlinks, and make sure these work.
Provide a 50-word synopsis for each submission for potential publicity purposes.
If your submission is for an Individual Recognition Award, include a brief (100 word) bio and at least one recent hi-res head & shoulders .jpg of your nominee.
Check you have spelt everything correctly because this is how things will appear on Awards – ie the name of your program, chapter or company; the name of a nominated individual; the nominated campaign or initiative; or any partner organization.
Attach/upload copies of relevant supporting documents (eg statistical reports, media articles, images, video etc). These must be recent, clear and relevant to your application.
Particularly large documents should be uploaded as compressed/zipped files.
Before pressing Submit, do one final check to make sure you’ve addressed all of the above.
FAQs
